Discover Hanoi Dna

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Hanoi Dna is the place to be. Situated at 14 Duncan St, this restaurant brings the vibrant flavors of Vietnam straight to your plate. As soon as you step through the door, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately transports you to the streets of Hanoi.

The menu at Hanoi Dna is an impressive mix of traditional Vietnamese dishes and innovative twists on classic recipes. Whether you're a fan of the bold, savory pho or you're craving the delicate flavors of a banh mi, this restaurant has something to offer everyone. The kitchen uses only the freshest ingredients, with an emphasis on high-quality meats, fresh herbs, and house-made sauces that make every dish stand out.

One of the most popular items on the menu is their pho. The broth is rich, flavorful, and packed with depth, while the rice noodles are perfectly cooked, providing the perfect balance in every spoonful. Add your choice of tender beef or chicken, and top it all off with fresh basil, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lime, and you’ve got a bowl that will leave you craving more.

For those looking for something lighter, the restaurant also offers a selection of fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, packed with crunchy vegetables, herbs, and a choice of protein wrapped in rice paper. These rolls are served with a tangy dipping sauce that complements the freshness of the ingredients perfectly.

Not to be missed are the restaurant’s house specialties. The Hanoi-style grilled pork is a favorite among regulars. The pork is marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and grilled to perfection, creating a crispy, smoky crust while keeping the meat tender and juicy on the inside. This dish is often served with a side of fragrant jasmine rice and pickled vegetables, making for a well-rounded meal.

In addition to the main courses, Hanoi Dna also offers a variety of side dishes, each carefully crafted to enhance the meal. Their green papaya salad, for example, is light yet packed with a zesty kick. The combination of shredded papaya, chili, and peanuts creates a refreshing dish that pairs beautifully with any of the main courses.

The drink menu is just as thoughtfully curated, offering a mix of traditional Vietnamese beverages and modern cocktails. You can't go wrong with a glass of Vietnamese iced coffee, which is strong and sweet, providing a perfect balance to the rich flavors of the food. For something a bit more daring, try their range of exotic cocktails infused with local ingredients that add an Australian twist to the Vietnamese culinary experience.

The service at Hanoi Dna is also worth noting. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations based on your taste preferences. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and casual, making it a great spot for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

As with any great restaurant, customer reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. Patrons consistently praise the freshness of the ingredients, the authenticity of the dishes, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Many guests mention how they’ve been able to introduce friends and family to Vietnamese cuisine for the first time, making Hanoi Dna not only a place to enjoy fantastic food but also a hub for sharing cultural experiences.

Whether you're a local or just visiting Fortitude Valley, Hanoi Dna offers an exceptional taste of Vietnamese cuisine that is sure to leave a lasting impression. With its unbeatable location, mouthwatering menu, and friendly service, it’s no wonder this restaurant has quickly become a favorite for food lovers in the area.

  • Best Vietnamese Pho & Spicy Beef Soup at Brisbane Chinatown Fortitude Valley. They close at 8:30pm. Lucky we got in at 8:08pm, ordered & really enjoyed freshly prepared & cooked Rare Beef Pho & Spicy Beef Soup (I can add how much chili as I want). Thank you to the 2 ladies who served us Hanoi DNA.

  • My wife had a craving for Pho and we found this restaurant to visit. After seeing great reviews we thought we had to try it out. I ordered the mix Pho and wife ordered rare beef pho. When the bowls came out I thought it was small but maybe i was very hungry lol. But omg it was very generous bowl! As you can see from the photos the bowl was filled to the brim. There was lots of meat in the bowl, every mouthful was with tender beef slices. The broth was rich and very flavourful. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu.

  • Hanoi DNA and left seriously impressed. The bánh mì with crispy pork belly was a winner – the crackle was loud, the pork tender, and the house-pickled veg cut through with freshness. I went for extra chilli and it delivered that perfect kick without overpowering the flavour. The rice paper rolls were light and refreshing. Washed it all down with a classic Vietnamese iced coffee strong, bold, and just sweet enough and a creamy rich Thai milk tea that rounded everything out. Great spot for when you’re craving authentic Vietnamese flavours done right.

  • I enjoyed the combo beef Pho. The broth was delicious. There was the noticable addition of cracked black pepper which was pleasant if unconventional. It was a shame that the noodles were overcooked. But as already mentioned, the broth was certainly delicious. I'll likely return when again in the area. I'm pleased to make this place a recommendation. Edit: I must have selected 3 stars for service by mistake. Corrected to 4. I almost never give 5 stars as to me, 5 stars means that there is absolutely nothing that could possibly be improved.

  • Honestly, this place has the most authentic Hanoi style food I’ve found in Brisbane. PHO is incredible with clear, rich broth with that signature Northern flavor, and fresh tender meat Their Grilled Pork Vermicelli is super tasty too, the pork is freshly grilled, the herbs are fragrant, and the pickled veggies are perfectly balanced. And I love BUN CHA very impressive. the meat is juicy, the dipping sauce is just right, and it really feels like eating in Hanoi. The place is clean, the vibe is cozy. Plus, the location is great, right in Chinatown, easy to find and perfect for a casual meal or catching up with friends. I can’t wait to come back

  • I rarely leave reviews, but I had to write one for Hanoi DNA. If you live in or are visiting Brisbane and want truly authentic Vietnamese food, this place is a must-try. The dishes are incredibly good, just like what I had in Vietnam, if not better. The vibe, the music, the people,… everything reminds me of home. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely be back!

  • I am a big fan of banh mi and I tried hundreds of times. I ordered the crispy pork banh mi and is one of the best banh mi I've tried in Brisbane. A lot of pork, perfect texture and good size. Definitely I'll come back
